  2. This is hilarious, I miss it when they argue. I was recently watching season 2 and they would argue a lot, but then in the end, the love would shine through. We need this again with them together hahahaha and it looks like it's going to shine in this episode hehehe.

"Yeah, I let her hang up" ... too funny.

  3. I love Castle, but really, you can make an emergency call on an iPhone even without having the unlock code. I hope they address that in a non-sneak peek part of the show.

  4. Vote for Stana Nathan and Castle on peoples choice awards while we wait for more sp !!!!!!!!

  7. Just had a fight with my bf, but it doesn't seem that bad if Castle & Beckett are arguing as well :P Loved it, more please!!

  8. I wonder if the lack of sneak peeks is an experiment by ABC. I'm sure they watch message boards to see how episodes were received, and perhaps they wonder if they cut back on sneak peeks if people will overall be happier with the ep??

    1. it's definitely an iPhone, but even if it wasn't, all smart phones have the option to make an emergency call when the phone is locked.

    2. You're totally right. And even some old phones have that option, so that was... unnecessary. Funny part, but not needed. It would be OK if the battery was empty.

  10. After (in my opinion) 2 less than stellar episodes because they seemed geared towards particular audiences (sci fi fans, 'the office' fans) I'm super excited for them getting back to their magical castle roots. Yaaay!

As far as the iphone thing, I don't think it even qualifies as being in the top 100 things castle has asked us to overlook with the typical "suspension of disbelief" inherent in all tv shows.

  11. yaaaaaay! They're finally there! :D I can't wait to see Castle and Beckett talk about their relationship. This looks like a good episode(just like every single one of season 5 so far!)

  12. Looks like 'classic' Castle is back!

    1. I love baseball, too! Oh, Martha, what ever will we do with you?

    2. 15 min of actually running in a 2 hour pro game = BORING! I'm with Martha.
There parents can drive them crazy, but the are so protective of them. Cute.

    3. Well, baseball IS a thinking man's game, Anon 8:31. Looks like you don't have the patience for it.

      Delete
    4. i wonder if it is a real life story from Andrew and Terri. I bet in the end Jim and Martha will be ok :)~~

    5. I agree with Martha about baseball (I'm a lady and I'm european, different sport culture here), but oh my, is she rude to Jim!! :-D Each of us have different interests and different hobbies, it's normal!
What I think it's phenomenal in this SP, is that it's obvious that both Martha and Jim are nervous because they know that this is it, Kate and Rick are the ones for each other. And they are trying (too hard obviously) to impress. Martha is clearly nervous and trying to sell her artistic side too much.
I'm sure too that by the time Kate and Castle can get back home, they will find their parents amicably chatting about a common interest they found and all is well.
In the meanwhile they got the opportunity to streamline additional issues of their relationship, so I am expecting this episode to be GREAT!

    6. From San Francisco- Go Giants! If you saw the movie Moneyball you would understand how much is put into just selecting the right players. Anyway, the awkwardness is really the love and concern for their kids who are obviously in love with each other but the relationship is currently kept a 'secret'.
They both know how dedicated they are to each other and how much they have gone through but still supported each other. This forces 'the talk' between Caskett and allows the relationship to move forward. While Caskett is away on a case the parents will talk openly about what they could not in front of their kids.

    7. I think this episode will be very interesting. Over the course of four and a bit seasons these two characters (Rick and Kate) have always tiptoed around the serious/hard questions with each other. It has taken some serious events, especially the two times Kate nearly died at the hands of Cole Maddox to break the ice between them. Even now they still kind of tiptoe around the serious/hard questions, despite being in a relationship. I guess that the incident of the "family" dinner might actually trigger a moment between Rick and Kate where they can't avoid the serious/hard questions any more and have to talk about what they have and where they go from here. Obviously things will work out in the end as we have the Christmas episode coming up next. Andrew Marlowe will know that the fans will want something special to come out of the first ever Castle Christmas episode. It doesn't worry me if it's not an ILY from Kate in the Christmas episode. I think we'll find that she might say it in similar circumstances to when Rick finally said it (if or when he finds his life in serious danger).

  14. a question about the telephone, can't we always dial emergency numbers even if the phone is locked?

  15. These SPs seem quite different form previous ones. The cuts, the going flashbacks... I don't know, it just feels they were put together by a diferent team. Ha ha. And why are thay called SP2 and 3, instead of 1 and 2? Where is 1? Do the count Promo as a sneak peek?

    1. No, they just made a SP1 but it is included in SP2 which is curious. It's true that SP2 is quite long...

    2. Thanks. I just saw the note below the videos. Funny way of sneakpeeking. Did I just make up a verb, you English native speakers?

    3. Actually, sneak peeks 2 & 3 are SP...1-2-3-4 & 5.
We can find them like that on other sites.

      Speaking of "sneakpeeking",.....just don't know!!....could be.....funny guy!

  16. If you look at the shot of the iPhone in the US promo you can see that the "Emergency Call" button doesn't exist where it's supposed to exist - right under the number 7. They fuzzed it out.

  17. Is castle captured by the guys going after the witness? From the last clip in sp2, it looks like he could be in some trouble...

  21. I for one am not happy about their bickering because it does not resemble their sharp exchanges from seasons 1 through 4; those were playful, showy dialogues, kinda flirty and quick-witted (even the allusion to "rapier wit" was kinda sweet). These are rather angry, as in simmering annoyance. I'm sure Castle will find a way to sooth Kate's fears that they are "kidding themselves" about their relationship... and I'm also sure that Marlowe will find a way to show how both eventually learn to row in sync (remember "Cuffed"?)

    1. You know even when you love someone to the ends of the earth, there's those moments when you don't get along, argue, fight, disgagree and just plain irritate the heck out of each other. From what little we've seen in the sneak peek (and even assuming it's shown in context - which I have doubts given Marlowe used the term "fun" to describe it) I think it's entirely possible that Kate might sometimes get a little irritated by the very things that she loves about Castle.
You;re right though; Marlowe always finds a way to make it real... and this is why I love these two as a couple. :)

    2. Anon 9.25 AM, that reminds me of during the scene in Season 3's episode "Setup", where in the tarpaulin Kate says something along the lines of "why is it that the thing that attracts you to a person the most always ends up being that thing that drives you crazy?". In the context of that episode she said it because she was frustrated that Josh was always away working and never there for her. It is a different situation with Rick, as we all knew that she was really in love with him and not Josh during the time Josh was in her life. Throughout the early days of when Rick was in her life she was constantly irritated by what she perceived was immatureness on his part. Over time her perception of him has changed to the point where that perceived immatureness is now the very thing she loves about him the most. A good example of this is the scene in "Cloudy With a Chance of Murder" where Rick was goofing around with the green screen and the smile on her face while watching him (she even stumbled on her words because she was on the phone with Esposito at the same time).

Andrew Marlowe is a smart bloke and I doubt he will let them reach the point where they're tearing each other's hair out and the "shop" ends up "shut" by the end of the episode. Up until this point they have been trying (unsuccessfully) to keep their relationship a secret, for fear that Captain Gates will use NYPD regulations to kick Rick to the kerb. This has meant that they have had to be content with stealing moments with each other while on the job. I think this upcoming episode might just draw a line in the sand and make them realize that their relationship is very serious and they are both in it for the long haul. It would be a nice twist to find out that Gates has already figured out that they're together. Up until now she has been very strict and sometimes a bit anal. Revealing that she already knew about the "secret" relationship would definitely take a few layers of the Captain Gates onion!

I think "After Hours" will be a very interesting episode. I half expected another round of "Andrew Marlowe doesn't know what he's doing" from fans who see something like the line "are we just kidding ourselves" and immediately jump to the wrong conclusions. That hasn't eventuated so far so perhaps people have learned the lesson from the episode "Probable Cause" to never jump to a negative conclusion before the episode airs?

  22. When a fan asked Penny, by Twitter, how Gates will react knowing about Caskett, she answered:

"Well, Honey, do you think she doesn't already know?"

    ReplyDelete
  23. LOL! No I think she's known for a while but it's still gonna be fun watching her making them squirm. :D

    1. I agree. I think she made the assumption at least after reading Castle's book. Everyone else has thought that it was based on their relationship.

  24. They think that nobody out side there circle knows. The truth be known everybody knows. The reason is they are not very good at hiding it.
